COP CHARGED
A Quebec City police officer has been charged with production and
possession of marijuana with intent to traffic.
Jean-Francois Pare, 28, was arrested Tuesday. He was charged yesterday in
connection with a hydroponic operation in Levis.
Pare was suspended with pay and released on conditions. His next court
appearance is set for May.
The news of Pare's arrest came just as it was revealed retired Surete du
Quebec officer Real Lajoie faces 19 criminal sex charges against seven
women and children. His bail hearing is set for next week.
