DISNEY CHARACTERS EVICTED FROM HALIFAX WALL MURAL FOR SMOKING MARIJUANA

(CNS) Dopey and his pot-loving pals are no more, now that their creator has
stepped in to stub them out of a Halifax mural.

Sweet Leaf Smoke Shop owners Colleen and Kenny Banks had a painting done on
their store nine months ago that featured the Seven Dwarfs holding a
marijuana joint, bong and incense holder.

The City of Halifax intervened after a neighbour complained and gave the
couple until May 1 to remove it. They eventually agreed to get rid of
everything but the dwarfs.

Last Thursday, they received a letter from the Walt Disney Co., which
licenses the popular children's cartoon characters. Disney didn't threaten
to sue but asked the store to remove the offending images.
