POLICE FIND DRUGS, CASH AT SCENE OF JUBILEE SHOOTINGS

A search of the Jubilee Avenue home where three police officers were
shot Dec. 7 while executing a drug search warrant has yielded cash,
drugs and drug packaging materials, police said Friday.

Const. Jacqueline Chaput said when police searched the house officers found:

z approximately seven pounds of marijuana;

z a quantity of Percocet tablets;

z Canadian and American currency totalling more than $4,000;

z miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and drug packaging materials.

Chaput said the total street value of the seized drugs is
approximately $14,200.

In other developments, the parents and girlfriend of the man charged
with shooting two of the police officers have been charged with drug
trafficking.

Montgomery Anderson, 54, his wife, Bonny Anderson, 51, and Ashley
Cochrane, 20, are each charged with possessing a substance for the
purpose of trafficking, possessing a controlled drug or substance and
possession of the proceeds of crime.

Chaput said the charges were laid because police believe they have
sufficient evidence against each person.

Daniell Ian Anderson, 21, has also been charged with similar
offences. He's also charged with two counts of attempted murder in
connection to the shootings of two of the officers.

One was shot in the hand and wrist and the other in the abdomen. Both
are recovering in hospital.

A third officer also suffered a gunshot wound, though it's believed
he was shot by a fellow officer during the incident. He is
recuperating at home.

Daniell Anderson was also injured in the raid, losing three fingers
and suffering a gunshot wound to his elbow. He remains in custody.
