MARIJUANA EVERYONE HAS CHOICES TO MAKE

Re: What would God want? Feedback, the Observer, Dec. 6.

Michael Hunt-Hertz's letter of Dec. 6, redolent with the musty odour
of irrelevant, biblical quotes, is so typical of the reactionary
response of bible thumpers who rush forth and gush forth so
unctuously on matters they are unqualified to give a reasoned voice to.

For anyone to seriously make the statement God "dearly wants us to
keep marijuana illegal even in the glaring absence of any solid
scientific basis" is both a challenge to the credulity of readers and
a testament to the irrational thought processes of the writer.

Being fairly versed in the contents of the Christian Bible, try as I
might I was not "Abel" to find any indication Adam and Eve's second
child was named "Seth."

Then again, all the convoluted, non-sensical statements by the writer
about "Post Generational Procreation" are indicative of little in
terms of common sense and the subject at hand.

As for Abraham, "the very father of Judaism," the world would have
been better off had he lopped off his other head during the barbaric
process known as circumcision and saved countless future generations
the necessity of having to be subjected to this accursed Satanic ritual.

Abraham was a Jew and his so-called "covenant" is still visible today
in the death and destruction we're witnessing in Palestine and Iraq
where the modern-day Judaic religion of Zionism is working out it's
blood lust upon the Arab people.

Hunt-Hertz, while he goes to great length to promote his God and
provide readers with "absolute proof" he wants us to persecute pot
users, has committed a cardinal sin for writers by stating I said
potheads have a "superior level of consciousness." I did not. What I
did say was, "It [cannabis] has been considered by all Eastern
cultures to be a sacred herb for thousands of years due to its
ability to raise the consciousness of the user to levels of awareness
that transcend the everyday, mundane perception of conditioned reality."

To compare the pain of Jesus, or anyone for that matter, on the cross
to some sicko's self-mutilation ought to be an outrage to all
Christians. When it comes to making a covenant with the Creator, I
much prefer to smoke a joint or walk in Nature than to mutilating my genitals.
