RIGHT TO PUFF SPARKS TIFF

Re: "Right to puff sparks tiff" (Aug. 5). Those who sent in negative
letters have no clue on the use of medical marijuana. They also failed
to comprehend that Russell Barth is allowed to use his medical
marijuana anywhere cigarette smoking is allowed, providing there are
no children in the vicinity. Pipe and cigar smokers are allowed to
indulge in their preferred choice of tobacco at these outdoor patios
as well.

Instead of beating up on a disabled person who chooses to use a herb
to help him cope with his ailments, educate yourself. You never know
- -- one day it might be you who chooses to use this herb as your
medicine. Nobody has ever died from a marijuana overdose, yet hundreds
of thousands have died from pharmaceutical drugs.
