HOW TO SPOT A GROW HOUSE IN THE 'BURBS
Two Arrested in Beaconsfield Following Neighbour's
Suspicions
Two men were arrested in connection with a bust at a house in
Beaconsfield last week where almost 400 marijuana plants were found
growing.
The marijuana had a street value of about $400,000. One of the men
arrested was subsequently released.
The house, on Beaurepaire Drive, had been rented out and neighbours
had reported seeing something suspicious. Police watched the house and
decided to go in last Friday.
Police say there are some clues that can usually signal a grow house:
the house is usually rented and you hardly see anyone around; the car
parked in front often has Ontario plates and is usually only around in
the early morning or late evening; you don't see garbage in front;
there's a lot of humidity on the windows.
