STREET DRUGS LAND PAIR IN HOSPITAL
VANCOUVER - Two men who bought illegal drugs in a downtown Vancouver
night spot and then went on a drinking binge are in hospital -- one in
critical condition.
Police say the pair bought drugs from an unknown source, consumed a
good deal of alcohol and returned to an apartment belonging to one of
them in the 1600-block West 11th Avenue.
The roommate of one of the men woke up around noon the next day and
tried to rouse them, assuming they had passed out. The pair remained
groggy and unresponsive and by evening, an ambulance was called.
