COMPLAINANT CHARGED AFTER CALL TO POLICE
Paranoia may have gotten the better of a 23-year-old man who called
police to report armed assailants around his house and ended up
facing charges for drug production and possession.
Myron W. Schoenthal called police early Sunday morning to report
there might have been armed people outside his home in the 800 block
of Robinson Street, but police found nobody.
Instead, police discovered a drug operation with approximately 100
marijuana plants.
"Police checked the area and located no armed people, but did find
the caller's illicit drug-growing operation after the person
requested police check his home," said Staff Sgt. Bob Turley.
Schoenthal is charged with production of cannabis and cannabis resin,
possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of
cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and theft under
$5,000.
He is to appear in court May 24.
