PASAY JAIL PRISONERS STAGE NOISE BARRAGE
Pasay City Jail inmates on Wednesday staged a noise barrage for more
than an hour to protest the drug tests ordered on four prison leaders
suspected of involvement in the smuggling in of the banned drug, shabu.
The four prison leaders, identified as Jake Villanueva and Reynaldo
Lungco of the Batang City Jail (BCJ), and Egoy Clino and Wilfredo
Ravacio of the Sigue-Sigue Sputnik gang (SSS), were earlier taken out
of the jail for their drug tests.
The noise barrage started about 12:30 in the afternoon.
The incident stemmed from an alleged confession made by another
inmate's partner, who said she was among those tasked to bring drugs
into the facility.
The noise barrage stopped after cops fired three warning shots.
