POT PRINCE HEARING DELAYED
Legal aid has been denied a co-accused of Marc Emery, further
delaying the start of an extradition hearing for the "Prince of Pot."
Emery's lawyer, Ian Donaldson, acting for a lawyer expected to be
retained by Greg Williams, told B.C. Supreme Court Associate Chief
Justice Patrick Dohm that Williams was refused legal aid but is appealing.
The judge adjourned the case until June 21.
The U.S. wants Emery extradited for allegedly selling marijuana seeds
to grow-ops in the United States.
