DRUG CONVICTION: CAFE OWNER WAS DEALER
Carol Gwilt, the owner of the former Da Kine Cafe, has been sentenced
to 15 months in jail for selling marijuana to customers.
Gwilt , 39, was sentenced Friday for her part in the Commercial Drive
shop that at its height in 2004 attracted thousands of customers --
and angered area residents. In May, Gwilt was found guilty of charges
of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and
possession of proceeds of crime involving Da Kine.
