ANTI-DRUG SUMMIT TO FOCUS ON METH
Cherokee FOCUS and Drug Free Cherokee will address the rise in
popularity of methamphetamine, and more, at the Cherokee Freedom
Anti-Drug Summit from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday.
Law enforcement agencies and social service providers will present
the latest information in the war on drugs and the resources
available for prevention and recovery.
The 8 a.m. registration will be followed by several speakers
throughout the day including: Judge Ellen McElyea, Cherokee County
presiding juvenile court judge, Phil Price from the Georgia Bureau
of Investigation and Troy Haas of HopeQuest Ministries.
Lunch and the keynote address by Chuck Wade, president of the
Council on Alcohol and Drugs, will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
The cost is $25 and includes entrance to the exhibit hall and lunch.
Registration also includes a "Drug Free Cherokee" T-shirt.
The summit will be held at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 777
