PITTSFORD MAN CHARGED IN FEDERAL 'CLUB DRUG' CASE
A Pittsford man is one of 10 people indicted on federal drug
trafficking charges for allegedly smuggling "club drugs" into the
United States.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York
announced the charges, which came after an investigation of nearly two
years into what the U.S. Justice Department called "a large scale drug
smuggling and trafficking group operating in and around Buffalo and
Rochester."
The drug ring allegedly smuggled such club drugs as Ecstasy, GHB,
ketamine and crystal methamphetamine from Toronto.
A man, 28, of Pittsford was charged with a pair of
violations under the federal Controlled Substances Act, as were nine
other defendants from the Buffalo region, according to the Justice
Department.
