SIX ARRESTED, DOG SHOT DURING REGINA DRUG RAID
Six people were arrested and a pitbull was shot and killed during the
execution of a drug search warrant by the Regina Police Service on
Sunday.
Around 5:30 p.m., Regina police -- with assistance from the special
weapons and tactics team -- went to a home in the 1200 block of
Robinson Street to execute a drug search warrant. Prior to entering
the house, Regina police members were confronted by a pitbull.
Due to a safety concern, the pitbull was shot and killed outside the
home. A second pitbull was restrained by police before being turned
over to the Regina Humane Society.
During a search of the home, police arrested five adult males and one
adult female. The six people are to appear in Regina provincial court
this morning on drug-related charges.
