STORY WILL ATTRACT THOSE CURIOUS ABOUT SALVIA
I'm curious to know how many people actually knew what Salvia
divinorum was prior to The StarPhoenix making the questionable
decision of making it front page news.
If the Saskatoon police are concerned about its legality of Salvia,
but admit they haven't had any problems with its use, perhaps they
should give it a couple of weeks and wait and see what happens now
that every curious teenager in the city knows what it is and where to buy it.
Kerry Kunka of B.O.B. HeadQuarters won't sell it to anyone under the
age of 18 but alcohol isn't available to anyone under the age of 19
and that hasn't stopped any curious teenagers either.
I don't advocate outlawing drugs, because this only forces them
underground which creates many other more serious problems. Still I
find it strange that the SP would make this information available and
I find it even more unusual that the Saskatoon police would support
this spread of information.
