FEDS SEIZE CANDY BARS FILLED WITH 5M IN HEROIN
NEWARK - Four men allegedly tried to smuggle $5 million worth of
heroin into the U.S. hidden in candy bars.
The four were arrested at Newark Airport, after federal officers found
more than 12 pounds of heroin that had been formed into pellets and
placed in more than 100 candy bars.
The drug-loaded candy bars were then individually wrapped and
packaged, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said yesterday.
