LAW REFORM NEEDED
Alcohol prohibition in the U.S. from 1920 to 1933 brought violence,
including increased murder rates, without even pretending to stop alcohol use.
Now the sequel is even worse, and people have lost all memory of the
lesson of Al Capone.
It is clearly time for credible drug law reform. In the 10 years
after the repeal of prohibition, the U.S. murder rate decreased. It's
likely ending current drug prohibition would do the same.
The war must stop, otherwise shootouts will continue.
