CRYSTAL METH FORUM
Abbotsford city hall will host a community forum on Jan. 18 aimed at
highlighting the dangers of crystal meth.
Moderated by Milt Walker, the executive director of the Kinghaven
Peardonville House Society, the event will take place from 7 p.m. to
10 p.m. in Matsqui Cent-ennial Audit-orium.
The keynote speaker will be Angela Marshall, a youth and family
therapist with the Fraser House Alcohol and Drug Outpatient Society,
and the Sto:lo Youth Healing Centre.
Panelists will include provincial court judge Ken Skilnick, addictions
specialist and author Gabor Mate, Fraser Health Authority advisor
Sherry Mumford and youth counsellor Sean Spear.
A recovering crystal meth user and a representative from the
Abbotsford Police Department drug squad are also expected to attend.
