EX-POLICE CHIEF ACCUSED OF PRISON-RELEASE VIOLATION
A former West Mifflin police chief recently released from federal
prison is accused of violating the conditions of his supervised
release, according to a petition filed Thursday in federal court by
the U.S. Probation Officer.
A search of Frank Diener's home "uncovered several items of
contraband," Officer John Kuklar wrote in requesting action from U.S.
District Judge Joy Flowers Conti. The petition did not specify what
items were found.
Conti sentenced Diener, 59, to a year and a day in prison in May 2007
on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and
marijuana, as well as obstruction of justice. He was released from
prison May 30, when he began serving three years of supervised release.
