NIMBY Attitude Helps No One

Re: "Richmondites selfish," Letters, News, July 15.

I would like to add to Lisa Parker's rightful criticism of the NIMBY
attitude toward the opening of a drugs abuse facility in Richmond.

These people that are complaining about the facility in their
neighbourhood are the same people who have sat back and said nothing
as they watched our courts and judges ignore our drug laws for the
last 40 years.

Everybody, with few exceptions, has been part of this
problem.
