MAN PAYS FOR HIS BOAST
A man who once boasted that the drug unit would never catch him has
been charged with dealing marijuana.
[redacted] was arrested on Jan. 3
and charged on Tuesday with possession with intent to deliver
marijuana, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possession of
drug paraphernalia, all as a repeat offender.
According to court documents: Authorities applied for a search warrant
after a confidential informant reported purchasing marijuana from
[redacted]. The warrant states [redacted] had been involved in illicit drug
activities in the past and in a 2006 interview with an agent of the
drug task force said he was dealing marijuana, but the drug unit would
never catch him.
A search of a room he rented at the [redacted] in Chippewa Falls
Jan. 3 revealed 64.8 grams of marijuana, a scale, $420 in cash, and
various drug paraphernalia. [redacted]'s wife told police that Jesse
"smokes marijuana like I smoke cigarettes," but denied any knowledge
of him dealing drugs.
[redacted] is to appear in court again Feb. 7.
