HARM AND HARM REDUCTION

When I first read about the "harm reduction" programs in Vancouver, I
was all for them. If the progressives in Vancouver and the brilliant
doctors at the B.C. Centre for HIV Excellence said it was good, then
it must be. Even better, if the dreaded Stephen Harper and the
Conservatives did not like it, then I thought it must be really good.

Something, however, always bothered me about it. Margaret Wente's
article finally made me realize why I now think it is a really bad idea.
