FRIENDS OF RACHEL HOFFMAN TO GATHER FOR FOOD, MUSIC, FELLOWSHIP
Rachel Hoffman was passionate about music. She had dreams of going to
culinary school. She was the kind of girl who took up for the
underdog. And, most of all, she loved spending time with friends and
family.
"She fed them self esteem, self respect," her mother Margie Weiss
said. "That is the message I want to let the world know."
On Saturday, friends, family and members of the community will gather
to celebrate the life, not the death, of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman at
the first-ever Purple Hatter's Ball.
"We felt like we needed to have an event that went beyond the
political and the opinions and just focused on how much we miss our
friend," said Paul Levine of Purple Hat Productions said. "There's
really going to be an incredible feeling of love out there."
