DRUG ENFORCEMENT ALL WRONG

I'd like to comment about how appalling it is that our tax dollars are
going to the Narcotics Task Force to bust and demoralize people that
are involved with something that is practically legalized everywhere
else in the world, including this country - marijuana.

I'm speaking of the 52-year-old who was busted recently. I know this
person and he is as harmless and low key as anyone could possibly be.
Yet, your article paints him as a top-notch drug dealer. This could
not be further from the truth.

This task force is really doing its job. These individuals earn wages
of $60,000 to $80,000, our tax money, to target little issues, whereas
Danielson is riddled with much more serious drugs. Yet they choose to
target the least harmful people. I have a message for the task force.
Go after the serious stuff that truly ruins peoples' lives instead of
wasting our money on petty little issues as the bust on this poor guy.
And you wonder why cops have such a bad reputation around here. Look
no further than your own practices.
