NEEDLE EXCHANGE IS AN ASSAULT ON THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN

I am a parent of a St. Andrews Elementary child and I am tired of
reading the outraged letters claiming we are taking away the drug
users' rights to services by not offering a permanent needle-exchange
site. What about a child's right to safety and security? What about a
child's right to be able to walk to school without having to step over
people shooting up on the sidewalk? What about the rights of those of
us who obey the law, pay our taxes and work hard to make our
communities a better place?
