WHY FEED DRUG ADDICTS THE VERY SUBSTANCE THEY KEEP ABUSING?

The judge's ruling that the Vancouver safe-injection site must stay
open is yet another cop-out from taking personal responsibility for
one's actions. And it gives [drug addicts] reason to keep doing what
they are doing.

Mental illness aside, why do we feel it's our responsibility to feed
[addicts] the "disease" when they do not want to quit?

Making excuses for their decisions does not solve a
thing.

I have a lot of respect for ex-drug addicts who chose to quit. But I'm
tired of Vancouver's love affair with people who break the law.

Hospitals are full of people who can't "choose" to kick their
diseases. But they have the courage and backbone to face their fate in
life.
