WHAT IF IT HAD BEEN BOMB?

The Supreme Court ruled the Calgary police violated the charter by
randomly using dogs to sniff luggage at the Calgary bus depot.

They subsequently found cocaine in a man's luggage.

The court ruled the random search was an unreasonable search and
seizure, and the man won. The police have lost another tool used to
put bad people in jail.

What if it had been 10 pounds of plastic explosives in the man's luggage?

I now know why I was never invited to sit on the bench of the Supreme
Court. It would be absolutely impossible for me to reach the same
conclusion as the court.
