UNNECESSARY SNIT
Vancouver Coun. Kim Capri is wrong to get into such a snit over the
annual rally to legalize marijuana.
This is a once-a-year gathering, not just in Vancouver but in many
cities around the world.
Unlike the alcohol-fuelled fighting and stabbings that regularly
occur on the Granville Mall, these gatherings are always peaceful.
And these people aren't walking around the streets smoking pot as if
it were tobacco.
Since Capri brings it up, and as a 62-year-old grandfather of three,
I see nothing wrong with having a glass of wine with my chicken salad
while picnicking in the park with my family.
Think about it, councillor.
