METH DISASTER CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE
As a 17-year-old senior, I see a lot of drug and alcohol use. But
among these, the worst is the use of meth.
It's about time Arizona is doing something to make people more aware
of just how far this issue has gone. I have a friend who was just sent
to rehab for using meth and I have seen, firsthand, what it has done
to not only her life, but the lives of the people around her. Meth
seems like a disease with no cure that's taking over our nation a
couple thousand people at a time.
The scary thing about meth is that it can happen to anyone, anywhere,
anytime. It doesn't just attack the under-average students. It has no
prejudices. There are many straight-A students who are bound for an
Ivy League college who fall under the influence. All it takes is one
time and you're addicted.
I hope everyone starts to open their eyes to what's really happening.
Maybe the Crystal Darkness documentary televised on Tuesday will
trigger some people to get more involved. -
