I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM

I smoke weed. There, I said it. Add me to the ever-growing list of
Canadians. I don't smoke to escape my problems, or for medicinal
purposes. I don't smoke to become a better musician or artist. I don't
go to weekly 4:20 meetings, and I don't read High Times magazine. I am
not lethargic or unmotivated, I wake up at the same time every weekday
and make a list of all the things I need to do that day, and then I do
them. I could certainly be doing better in school, but it isn't
because I smoke.

I don't think marijuana is the cure for every disease on the planet,
nor do I even care if it is legalized. What I do care about is
discrimination. We, the people who smoke weed, are just people. We
choose to smoke instead of drink, we enjoy being outside: playing
Frisbee, long-boarding, or walking through the vale. Yup, we sure are
a dangerous bunch!

Give me one solid reason why smoking marijuana should be so taboo and
I promise I will quit cold turkey - which will be easy, because it's
not addictive either.
