DON'T CRACK DOWN ON POT, LEGALIZE IT

Regarding FLORIDA TODAY's not-so-thoughtful editorial headlined "Pot
penalties," the United States is the most incarcerated nation in history.

Your solution: stiffer penalties for pot growers.

The simple and easy solution to illegal marijuana grow operations is
to re-legalize marijuana so it can be sold in licensed businesses for
pennies per dose.

How many illegal grow houses grow tobacco, the kind that contains
nicotine? Probably none. Criminalize tobacco and the situation will
soon change.

Then tobacco will be unregulated, untaxed and controlled by criminals
- -- just like marijuana is today.
