Recognize Need to Help Relieve Suffering

I am 100 percent in favor of legalizing medical marijuana. It is
obvious when reading Martin Chilcutt's story that he is not abusing
drugs or has any other motive in fighting for this cause, other than
providing relief for those suffering terribly from terminal illnesses.

I can understand why many are opposed to legalizing medical
marijuana: It seems as though making the drug more accessible would
encourage drug abuse, across the board. The problem with that theory
is that marijuana is already easily available to anyone who would
want to use it.

There is so much anecdotal evidence that marijuana is beneficial in
relieving pain for the dying, why are we withholding it from them? I
sincerely hope Michigan voters recognize the need for relief for
these poor, suffering people.
