BEWARE THE OUT-OF-TOUCH FEDS

Re "Issuing medical pot IDs on agenda," March 16: So Sacramento County
Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan believes there is no such thing as
medical marijuana? Was she simply pandering to her conservative
constituency, or is she just plain ignorant?

Has she forgotten the legitimate fears of our nation's founders
regarding a burdensome and out-of-touch federal government? Does she
simply dismiss Californians' vote to recognize medical marijuana
because it does not fit with her personal ideology or medical knowledge?

She's certainly entitled to her views, but she has a larger
responsibility as a county supervisor, and it's clear that she's not
up to the task.
