NON-EMERGENCY
Editor: On Saturday, March 8, at 6:15 p.m., a group of six teens sat in
Portage Park, openly smoking pot. Being fed up with this kind of "accepted"
drug use, I phoned 911, and asked for the police.
I explained the situation to the person who answered my call and was
told "call the non-emergency number."
Okay, so other than the idiots who were smoking that crap, no one's
life was in immediate danger. Who's to say that one of these
low-lifes, once they're whacked out on drugs, aren't going to harm
someone? So much for trying to prevent a crime.
So, when the next teenage druggie decides to make a little IED
(explosive device) in Langley, and the police ask for help, well call
my non-emergency number.
