DRUGS USED TO PREVENT CRIME

MOCK-UP drugs will be on display in High Wycombe town centre on
Saturday in a bid to help people keep their homes secure.

The kit is part of an exhibition held twice a year in the Chiltern
Shopping Centre so home owners can gain expert advice on crime prevention.

Members of Wycombe District Council, the Police, Trading Standards
and Bucks Fire and Rescue will all be there just to name a few.

Geoff Pegg, chairman of the Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch
Association, who helped arrange the event, said raising the issue of
drugs and crime was important.

"The kit is made up of the main types of drugs, for those who
haven't seen cocaine and heroin, so they can see a mock up.

"The connection is that drug addiction is the primary cause of
crime, particularly the types we are interested in.

"We have been holding them for twice a year for a while and we can
claim each time, it is the largest crime prevention event held in
the Wycombe district."

The exhibition will be held between 9am and 3pm in the Chiltern
Shopping Centre.
