CHARTER MISUSED

So, the B.C. Court of Appeal rules evidence of drug
possession/trafficking is inadmissible because it was gathered while
police were searching a car for booze rather than drugs. Rubbish! Now
we have a new precedent and thus a new law. And a drug dealer hits
the revolving courthouse doors. A similar ruling by another judge
during a border search had the same effect.

A crime is dismissed while the judge goes after the law enforcers.

Maybe the Charter of Rights and Freedoms has given our courts too much power.

Will we keep losing our freedoms so people who have clearly committed
a crime can have their "rights" protected? We are responsible to see
this misuse of the Charter does not continue. We can't just sit back
and let it happen.
