ECSTASY IN GUMMY BEARS

(CNS) - Chilliwack RCMP are warning parents and kids to be on the
lookout for some bad gummy bears after they found some of the treats
doctored with drugs during a recent arrest.

Mounties made the discovery while arresting a suspect in a recent
arson and robbery case in Sardis. Police discovered some candy bears
contained the drug.

Police say the drugs were not well-hidden inside the candy and do not
want to exaggerate the danger to the public.

"You can see this is not a sophisticated attempt to disguise
ecstasy," Const. Lea-Anne Dunlop said.

A Chilliwack man was charged with the break-in and arson in the case.
