COURT RULING IS PUZZLING

Over the years I have shaken my head several times in disbelief at
the decisions made by Justice Colin Westman.

I question his judgment when he can justify a decision to impose a
conditional sentence on a drug dealer found with $28,000 worth of
crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana, while earning $80,000
a year. This, as well as to state publicly: "If I had your
background, I wouldn't be sitting here. I'd probably be doing
something along the lines of what you did."

What message is this sending to our community?

I just cannot believe it. I feel he gives our police service and
so-called "justice system" no justice at all with decisions like this.

I was further perplexed when on the very next page a 19-year-old with
crack cocaine valued at $2,000 was jailed for nine months. I continue
to just shake my head and wonder what on earth our world is coming to.
