NO DRUG CRIME BACK THEN

Sirs, I submit that you have very little of no "drug-related crime."
What you do have is an abundant amount of drug prohibition created crime.

Here in the U. S. nobody was robbing, stealing or committing acts of
prostitution to obtain money to purchase drugs when pure
pharmaceutical grade Bayer heroin was legally sold in grocery stores
for pennies per dose. Back then, the term "drug-related crime" didn't exist.

And deaths from recreational drugs were very rare. That's because
back then drugs were all of known quality, known purity and known
potency--just the opposite of today's black market, bootleg drugs.
