Hawaii Justice
MISPLACED PRIORITIES
Am I nuts or is there something wrong with our system of justice on
this island?
From page 10 of today's paper I see a young man without any prior
criminal record sentenced to 10 years in prison (translation: By the
time you get done with 6 or 7 years of being a boy toy in OCCC you
will wish your life was over) while on the same page two women who
participated in the kidnapping and attempted murder of a 24-year-old
woman are walking away without any jail time.
Personally, I would rather live next door to a marijuana grower than a
kidnapper and murderer. It should be noted that the attempted murder
case involved ice users. In fact, the victim was apparently going to
tell the police about the perpetrator's ice use. Good to know our
legal system is serious about stopping ice use, murder and kidnapping.
