RULING TO PROTECT POT GROWER BAFFLES AVERAGE CITIZENS
Re: Pot grower's rights violated: Judge, Feb. 7
While our British Columbia judges may be learned and may work very
hard, the soft liberal rulings they hand down are making our province
the laughing stock of the continent. Monday's ruling that freed
Surrey marijuana grower Van Dung Cao because the police "did not give
him enough warning before they knocked in his door" makes a mockery
of our police and our justice system. To further say that police
cannot assume that people in charge of grow-ops are armed is another
decision by Supreme Court Justice Catherine Bruce that is beyond reason.
Grow-ops and the marijuana growing "industry" are a huge problem, and
our police already have an extremely hard job in dealing with them
and the people who run them. Now this judge wants the police to give
extra early warning time to the perps so that they can have more time
to destroy evidence, arm themselves, set their booby traps or make
their escape. Nice work, Madame Justice.
