MEDICAL MARIJUANA DISTRIBUTION DISCUSSED

An outspoken critic of how the Vancouver Island Health Authority
manages addiction plans to start supplying medical marijuana in Nanaimo.

James Younger is a Nob Hill resident and vocal critic of such VIHA
initiatives as a free crack pipe distribution campaign, a Cavan Street
needle exchange and a Victoria Crescent methadone clinic. Now he's
starting Nanaimo's first compassionate club.

He plans to take orders for medical marijuana on his cellphone, then
pedal his bicycle around town to deliver the drug from a backpack.

He can be reached at home at 740-1048 or on his cell at
619-5050.

Health Canada allows the use of marijuana to treat arthritis, AIDS,
glaucoma and other illnesses, to registered patients, whose doctors
have completed special government forms.
