MARIJUANA BY THE BOOK

In the Jan. 27 letter "Don't Mess with Marc," Stan White insists the
first page of the Bible says smoking pot is no evil. From the King
James Version, Genesis 1:12: "And the earth brought forth grass, the
herb that yields seed according to its kind ... And God saw that it
was good." Too bad he never made it to the second page of the Bible,
Genesis 1:29, "And God said, 'See I have given you every herb that
yields seed which is on the face of all the earth ... to you it shall
be food.' " I'm not passing judgment on pot smokers, or being a Bible
thumper. For the record, I have no beefs against pot smokers. I'm
just saying to Stan, do some research next time; that's what I did.
The Bible states plants are for food, not smoking.
