This story is chilling. Canada was prepared to send Emery and two of
his partners to the U.S. to stand trial for crimes alleged to have
been committed here as well, but for which Canadian officials were not
prepared to charge them. This scenario falls as neatly within the new,
war on terror definition of rendition as any I can think of.
