TOURIST 'ATTRACTIONS'
So Malcolm Duncan (no relation) says a survey conducted by Kings
Cross Chamber of Commerce indicates the supervised heroin injecting
room will be bad for the area and drive tourists away (Herald,
January 19).
Of course, one of the area's great attractions at the moment is
watching people shoot up on the street, toss their syringes on the
ground, throw up, defecate, stagger and collapse. Not to mention
listening to the constant wail of ambulance sirens racing to try to
save the life of yet another overdose victim.
