CANNABIS EDUCATION NEEDED

JASON BAKER-SHERMAN (10.1.01) does not once, in his criticism of my
view, take on that there are any strong negatives associated with
regular cannabis consumption. This is counter to Prof Taylor's work
on anecdotal research. He should find out how acceptable, in an open
drug culture, it would be to have stoned children in attendance at
school and other learning institutions. I don't think that parents,
teachers or school authorities will take this on board.

Unfortunately, cannabis does not come in a cigarette packet telling
you what you are consuming and what drugs are involved. It is time to
definitely look at educating young people on drugs as to the very
real dangers that exist in the free, open society. It is all very
well to advocate a totally free approach to drug availability, but,
like a child, only a parent is aware of the consequences of walking
in front of the oncoming truck rumbling down the road. So drug
availability requires regulation in a responsible society.
