FEW GARBAGE MEN ARE STONED
THIS LETTER is in response to the two recent articles on pot smoking
garbage men. The majority of garbage men are conscientious, hard-working
individuals who take great pride in their work.
The drug most often used by trash collectors is Tylenol. This is taken to
relieve shoulder and back pain caused by the rigours of a physically
demanding job.
Why not have an article about the high injury rate in this occupation
instead of unsubstantiated claims by a disgruntled employee? There are
probably as many stoned solid waste services workers are there are stoned
journalists -- in other words, very few.
