EXOTIC DANCER CONVICTED IN TEENS' HIGHWAY DEATHS

A former exotic dancer whose van ran off the freeway, killing six teenagers
picking up litter, was acquitted Friday of involuntary manslaughter but was
found guilty on drug-use charges.

Jessica Williams, 21, was cleared of driving under the influence of drugs.

But she was found guilty of having drugs in her system during the crash and
could get two to 20 years on each of six counts -- one for each of the
victims. Sentencing was set for March 30.

Williams admitted smoking marijuana and taking "ecstasy" hours before
falling asleep at the wheel last March and plowing into the teens, who were
picking up litter in the median as punishment for minor infractions.

But Williams' attorney said she was not impaired by the drugs at the time
of the afternoon crash, which happened after a sleepless night. Earlier in
the morning, she had gotten off work as a dancer at a Las Vegas topless bar.
