HONEST WORK

Re: I Can do Anything an MBA Can, Feb. 19. Here is a man who made his
living off a trade that was not only illegal, also immoral, who has the
nerve to feel this somehow makes him qualified for such work in a legal
arena. My boyfriend and I just left Toronto to come back to my roots in the
Maritimes, after trekking across the country years ago, just so I could
find work. Now that we're back in the Maritimes and I have found a job in
my field, my boyfriend is struggling to find work. Maybe he shouldn't have,
but he chose legal employment -- five years with the military, serving our
country, years in animation that ended up all moving to the Asian market
and now, with Internet skills and computer training and experience, he
can't find work here, although he keeps trying. Maybe he should have
skipped the military and imported drugs. It might have won him a job or
maybe enough money to run the same $1,300 ad Mr. O'Dea was able to afford.
