POT STASH RETURNED

CALGARY -- Marijuana crusader Grant Krieger will get his seized stash of
pot back next week.

Judge Cheryl Daniel said yesterday she will sign an order authorizing the
return of Krieger's 100-gram bag of drugs after Crown prosecutor Scott
Couper agreed to its release.

Krieger's drugs were confiscated Jan. 22 when he turned himself in to police
custody for failing to pay $1,750 in fines.

He served seven days of an 11-day sentence for breaching probation on an
earlier drug conviction. The marijuana couldn't be returned by police
without a judge's order because that could technically be considered
trafficking.
